Perfusion: a view from the British Heart FoundationBritish Heart Foundation, 14 Fitzhardinge Street, London, UK The British Heart Foundation was established 40 years ago with the aim of playing a major role in the fight against cardiovascular disease. Despite spectacular advances in the surgical treatment of congenital and ischaemic heart disease, there is a continued need for research into the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment. The Foundation will continue to support professors, training fellowships and individual project and programme grants to meet these needs.
